On December 10, 2021, the 2021 China Business School Development Forum and Education Ceremony co-sponsored by MBA China.com and "Manager" magazine was successfully held online.

In the expectation of every participation, the "2021 China Business School and MBA Program Series List" was announced in the awards section of this grand ceremony, and more than 200 business schools participated in the competition for various awards. The MBA program of the School of Economics and Management of Southwest Jiaotong University has won many honorary awards with its strong strength and distinctive features.

The MBA program of the School of Economics and Management of Southwest Jiaotong University was successfully included in the "Top 100 Best MBA Programs of China Business School"; the "Traffic Management" MBA program of the School of Economics and Management of Southwest Jiaotong University won the "Special MBA Program Award of China Business School"; and the School of Economic and Management of Southwest Jiaotong University won the honorary title of "China Charity Star Business School".

Southwest Jiaotong University obtained the right to grant a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 1998 and began to formally recruit students nationwide. The project aims to "train learning-oriented professional managers and cultivate entrepreneurs with international vision" as the school's mission, focusing on the construction of faculty and the combination of theory and practice to provide MBA students with exquisite theoretical guidance, case analysis and practical activities, cultivate a large number of outstanding Chinese MBA elites in the workplace, and create an MBA brand image with the characteristics of Southwest Jiaotong University. In June 2016, the school of Economic and Management passed the AMBA certification (AMBA is the European Union's international certification system for business school MBA programs).

The MBA of Southwest Jiaotong University focuses on training students to be able to adapt to the needs of socialist market economy construction, flexibly use modern corporate management methods, possess an international vision, innovative awareness, leadership skills and excellent business ethics, and have a strong position in the fierce market competition at home and abroad. Meanwhile the school aims to cultivate high-level and pragmatic professional managers and management talents with comprehensive abilities such as response, judgment, and decision-making.
