About the Lecturer:

Dr. Dengshi HUANG, professor and doctoral supervisor, former Dean of the School of Economics and Management of Southwest Jiaotong University. Since January 1981, he has successively taught in Wanxian Teachers College, Sichuan Province Economic Management Cadre College, School of Economics and Management of Southwest Jiaotong University, and was promoted to associate professor and professor in December 1993 and March 1996 respectively. In 2000, As a doctoral supervisor of the School of Economics and Management of Southwest Jiaotong University, he supervised more than 100 master, Ph. D. and MBA students. He visited the Department of Systems Engineering and School of Business Administration, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the Business School of City University of Hong Kong as a visiting scholar, the MIT Sloan School of Management as senior Visiting Scholar. He served as the deputy dean of the School of Economics and Management, from January 2013 to December 2014, as the executive deputy dean of the School of Economics and Management, and from December 2014 to December 2018, as the dean of the School of Economics and Management, 2018. He served as Executive Dean of the School of Economics and Management from January to June of 2019. He is mainly engaged in research work in the fields of corporate finance, financial market risk management, and financial engineering. He presided over and researched a number of general and major projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the National Social Science Foundation of China. He has published more than 100 papers in important domestic and foreign journals such as Journal of Empirical Finance, "Management World", "Journal of Management Science". The undergraduate courses taught by him in the past three years include Corporate Finance, Behavioral Economics, Behavioral Finance, Literature Study and Essay Writing.
