Yi Li, Dean of Cost Institute of China Construction Southwest Design & Research Institute Co., Ltd., Chairman of China State Construction Southwest Consulting Co., Ltd., Executive Director of Sichuan Southwest Engineering Project Management Consulting Co., Ltd., National Registered Cost Engineer, First Class Constructor, Royal Chartered Builder (CIOB), Royal Chartered Quantity Surveyor (RICS), IPMA (C-level project management expert certified by the International Project Management Association).

About the Lecture:

Through a brief description of the construction industry in the planned economy period and the basic construction mode after the market economy transformation, this lecture reviews the development history of the construction industry, and combs the status quo of the construction industry, consulting industry and engineering consulting sectors in the current era.

Therefore, this lecture proposes that the core value of the whole process engineering consulting lies in the in-depth integration of technology and economy, and through the closed-loop mechanism of pre-planning-post-evaluation to construct full-life cycle consulting, combined with multi-objective collaborative planning, the realization of optimal design results, and cost and correspondence quality verification to break down technical barriers and achieve higher delivery value.

Finally, this lecture analyzes and introduces the typical cases of technical and economic integration in the planning phase, design phase and construction phase.
